Editing
I'm a professional editor with over ten years experience editing a massive variety of content on many systems. Advanced Avid online / offline editor with six years experience as a senior editor in a post facility delivering content for broadcast, web and POS internationally.
I have experience managing a post facility and its equipment. 40TB shared storage serving eight seats and an LTO archive system.
Directing
My directing experience is as varied as my editing. I have directed multi-camera studio as-live programming for DRTV, music videos featured on MTV2 and 30 second TVC commercials for household products. I have directed many corporate promos for a range of clients from the NHS to a dating website and directed documentaries and short films.
Compositing
Combining elements seamlessly. Live action, CG and motion graphics all make up an edit today so having a strong understanding of compositing is vital to maintain a smooth post workflow.
I have used After Effects for over ten years and more recenlty Nuke to composite. I have supervised shoots to ensure all relevent data is recorded in order for CG and live action to marry up seamlessly.
MGFX / CG
From simple titles to animated cameras and particle systems, motion graphics design is a vital skill for any promo editor. I have been using After Effects for over ten years and cinema 4D for five years and I have created countless packshots and animated lower third supers for all kinds of media.
As an editor and compositor I often work very closely with 3D artists, both in-house and freelance. Over the years those skills have rubbed off on me. Using Cinema 4D, 3DS Max and Maya I can create 3D models of products and buildings. Animate objects and characters and set up collision and particle systems.
